Dentures Vs. Dental Implants

Dentures are basically a set of false teeth that can be removed from the mouth at any time. Most people who wear dentures must use a special denture adhesive to keep them in place. Without adhesive, there is a risk of them moving around in the mouth and even falling out if one sneezes. On the other hand, dental implants are false teeth, but each tooth is individually implanted into the bone. The main advantage of dental implants is that they will look exactly like real teeth and you will never have to go back to have readjustments. As they are rooted into the mouth, this can actually prevent the bone loss associated with extractions.
When it comes to eating with dentures, it can take some time for a new wearer to get used to. It may feel as though the mouth is already full, as you may not be used to your new teeth and the size may be a little off from what your natural teeth were. Dental implants, however, will feel exactly like your natural teeth and there should be no problems with eating. As they are stronger than dentures, after your mouth is healed, you should not notice any difference at all when eating.

Each one will come with its own benefits, but if you are concerned about making sure your false teeth look real and, more importantly, feel real, you will find that dental implants will be your best choice.
